The Hopkinton Running Club is pleased to present the 2022 Young Runner Award Scholarship to recognize outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated an interest in the sport of running.  

Two one-time scholarships of $500 each will be awarded.  

Selection Criteria 

 ​All applications will be reviewed by the Hopkinton Running Club Scholarship Committee. Judges will consider each student based on their essay response, as well as academic achievement, community service, and extracurricular activities.  

Minimum Eligibility Requirements  

Residents of Hopkinton, Holliston, Ashland, Milford, Westborough, Upton, Northborough or Southborough.  

• Citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the United States.  
• Current senior high school student in Massachusetts who will enroll as a student in a two- or four-year U.S. accredited college or university, or other certificate program for higher learning, in the fall of 2022.  

Award Application Instructions and Rules To apply for the scholarship, please complete and submit the following application items:  

1. Complete scholarship application form, and  
2. ​A 300 word (or less) essay response, typed and double-spaced.
